Deliver services, resources and governance within DFP

• Supports DFP in achieving its objectives through addressing the people aspects of its business. The Departmental Human Resources Division provides services through its HR Business Partner roles which have a clear and dedicated personnel presence within each Business Area, as well as having responsibility for:
• the development of HR Strategy
• Learning and Development
• Workforce and Business Planning
• compliance with Equality legislation and
• Absence Management
• Provides advice and guidance to support Ministerial/Assembly business and communications
• Facilitates and drives corporate and business improvement activity
• Finance services, including:
• Accounting
• business and financial planning
• corporate governance
• internal audit
• audit authority services
• IT and information services
• Promotes sustainable development
• Provides business support services across the NICS and wider public sector
• Secures the provision of office estate services to Northern Ireland Departments
• Supplies connectivity for NI to the Government Secure Intranet (GSi) service
• Provides government office accommodation (excluding specialised buildings) throughout Northern Ireland
• Provides new accommodation and the refurbishment/alteration of existing premises
• Maintains Stormont Estate and both owned and leased properties
• Provides NICS with a range of other centralised services such as:
  • Ministerial and Senior Civil Service transport,
  • Courier service
  • delivery of a property management service to the wider public sector
• Delivery of Northern Ireland's obligations to the EU Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings (EPBD); and promotion of the energy efficiency within the public sector
• Prepares the Northern Ireland Building Regulations
• Provision of a Design Authority to enable both strategic and technical solutions across NICS in ICT deployment and unified communicatons.
• Supports NICS Departments to deliver transformation through realising the benefits of Civil Service Reform and promoting good practice in the Northern Ireland pubic sector
• Provides consultancy services in information assurance and IT security to the NICS
