Bruce Robinson
Bruce Robinson took up the post of Permanent Secretary at the Department of Finance and Personnel in August 2007, having previously been Second Permanent Secretary from January 2006.
A Chartered Accountant, Mr Robinson held the post of Permanent Secretary at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETI) from November 2000 - December 2005.Prior to his appointment to DETI, Mr Robinson was Chief Executive of the Industrial Development Board for Northern Ireland (IDB), the region's inward investment and main business development body. Previously he held a number of senior executive posts within IDB, during a career of 18 years.
Mr Robinson graduated from Queen's University, Belfast, with a degree in Economics and joined Coopers and Lybrand where he qualified as an accountant.
