Fees Regulations
The Building (Prescribed Fees) Regulations (NI) 1997 authorise district councils to charge fees for certain functions prescribed by the 1979 Order. They also establish the level of fees that may be charged, and list any exemption to each fee.
The Prescribed Fees Regulations are currently under review. This review is still at an early stage, and will be subject to consultation before new regulations are written.
A copy of the Prescribed Fees Regulations may be purchased from The Stationery Office or may be viewed online on the website of the Office of Public Sector Information, www.opsi.gov.uk.
