Contact with Children

The Children and Adoption Act 2006, which aims to facilitate contact by introducing powers to direct parties to attend programmes and classes and to attach conditions to contact orders, does not extend to Northern Ireland.

The Civil Law Reform Division (CLRD) is currently considering contact arrangements in Northern Ireland and the terms of the 2006 Act.
