What is the Government Gateway
The Government Gateway is a core element of the UK Government's Common IT Infrastructure and was an enabler to its programme to get all government services online by 2005.
It is one of a number of products built by the UK e-Government Unit www.gateway.gov.uk
and is available to all NI central and local government departments.
Services Include:
- Authentication & Authorisation of user identities
- Transaction Routing & Intra-government Messaging
- Secure e-mail
- Payments and Alerts
The Government Gateway provides an efficient, secure, and reliable route for communication with citizens, intermediaries, businesses and government organisations.
