Government procurement changes the way it does business
The Department of Finance and Personnel’s Central Procurement Directorate (CPD) has changed the way it does business.
CPD has moved from the old tendering system to web based sourcing. The new system, ‘e-Sourcing NI’, is fully EU compliant and security accredited.
It provides a comprehensive service to all its users. Companies wishing to tender for government contracts are now only required to provide information once.
The vendors can then update their company information as or when circumstances change.

Des Armstrong, Acting Director of CPD said: “This is a modern sourcing solution for our clients and suppliers. The new system will avoid the current duplication of effort and make the process of competing for government business less cumbersome and time-consuming.
"We are particularly pleased that the new system enables small and medium sized enterprises to register with us, giving them opportunities to compete for government business.”
Detailed information can be found at: www.cpdni.gov.uk under the ‘What’s New’ section.
