Among these initiatives are:

• Achieving Excellence Initiative for Northern Ireland..this initiative aims to make the public sector client a best practice client when procuring construction projects and services.
• Sustainable Construction: the Sustainable Construction section of our website provides guidance which is also relevant to Suppliers. The advice is related to the practical implementation of Achieving Sustainability in Construction Procurement and the Sustainability Action Plan. The guidance is also concerned with the practical implementation of Achieving Excellence in Construction Procurement Guide 11. Suppliers will be particularly interested in the targets set for recycled/re-used content in construction projects.
• Buildsafe NI is a safety initiative for the construction industry that brings together the public sector client, the industry, the trade unions and the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland.
• Rethinking Construction the website of Constructing Excellence in Northern Ireland. The primary aim of Constructing Excellence in Northern Ireland is to establish itself as a focal point within the Northern Ireland Construction Industry and to promote the implementation of the Constructing Excellence agenda to all sectors in the industry.
