Risk Map

A simple form of qualitative risk estimation requires that the probability of a risk occurring is classified at a minimum: low (L), medium (M), or high (H) – with a similar classification for the impact if the risk materialises.  A combined risk classification of ‘H-H’ (high probability and high impact if the risk occurs) is clearly an important risk.  The classification can be extended to include very low and very high.
