Citizen Facing Services

NI Direct

ISID is responsible for the NI Direct Programme, which aims to improve and simplify access to Government Services by citizens. NI Direct is achieving this objective by enabling citizens to access government services through a number of different channels. The main two channels are web access through the NI Direct Website and telephone access through the Contact Centres, other channels currently available to improve citizen information include SMS and Kiosks.

NI Direct is now moving from the pilot phase to full implementation, consolidating all citizen facing content to a single website and enhancing informational services provided by a multi-channel contact centre using an easily identifiable service number, or 101 telephone number. For more detailed information on NI Direct click on www.nidirect.gov.uk.
