Northern Ireland Civil Service Reform and the future@work
A number of initiatives formed the NICS Reform Programme which has seen changes to NICS work practices, systems and processes, use of technology, the working environment, the organisational culture and citizen interfaces.

The future@work in NICS
future@work is an interactive facility which showcases NICS work practice developments and future technologies. Future@work can provide information on how reform affected staff and NICS departments however the main emphasis is now on striving to stimulate, encourage and promote operational innovation through case studies, pilots, demonstrations, guidance and the embedding of shared services.
This facility is located on the first floor in Clare House at Holywood Exchange. It is divided into five zones - office, mobile working, beyond the office, future zone and drop-in zone reflecting different dimensions of developments in the future as well as featuring Business Zones and agile working.
