future@work in the NICS

future@work is an interactive facility which features NICS work practice developments and future technologies. future@work strives to support the development and promotion of good work practice and policies within the NICS, assisting Departments to optimise recent reforms and improve service delivery, efficiency and customer focus;

and to do so by;

stimulating, encouraging and promoting operational innovation through case studies, pilots, demonstrations, guidance and the embedding of shared services.

This facility is located on the first floor in Clare House at Holywood Exchange and reflects different dimensions of developments in the future as well as featuring Business Zones and agile working.

Visits can be arranged to explore the future and see first hand the changes taking place across the NICS. The facility is divided into five zones:

• office;
• flexible working;
• beyond the office;
• future zone; and
• a drop-in zone.
