Aim of Welfare Support Service

Welfare Support Service aims to help increase the effectiveness of NICS Departments by assisting, where possible, in the resolution of staff problems.

We do this by providing an individual and confidential service to staff and managers at all levels to enable them to work through (and better cope with) personal and work-related issues which may have an effect on work performance.

Any member of staff or management may contact the Welfare Officers at any time. Staff do not need to do this through Line Management however, if you intend to meet with a Welfare Officer during working hours, you must let Line Management know where you will be.
