Ireland, North and South: A Statistical Profile
This publication is a compendium publication featuring data from both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The fourth edition comprises ten chapters covering areas such as Demography, Health, Education, the Economy, Transport and Tourism. Each chapter includes statistical information from both jurisdictions presented using tables, graphs and with detailed supporting commentary.
Northern Ireland Abstract of Statistics Online
This is the most comprehensive statistical compendium produced in Northern Ireland. It is compiled by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) and contains a wide range of statistics drawn from both government and non-government sources. The tables cover a large number of subject areas including, among others, population, social and welfare, education, crime and justice, the labour market, transport, tourism, agriculture, energy, the environment and the economy.

General Registrar Office
GRO's website contains information on all services provided by the General Register Office. We also offer an online application service for birth, death, marriage and adoption certificates. Certificates can be ordered for the following periods: Birth and death registrations from 1864, birth certificates for adopted children from 1931 and marriage certificates for non-Roman Catholic marriages from 1845 and all marriages from 1864.
Information on current marriage procedures and the marriage notice form can be downloaded. Details on approved civil marriage venues, the Gender Recognition Act and the Civil Partnership Act can also be downloaded from the website. Additional guidance notes relating to Civil Partnerships, approved Civil Partnership registration venues and fees as well as the appropriate notice form are also available.

Disclosure of Death Registration Information
The Registrar General for Northern Ireland has introduced a joint data release scheme aimed at stopping fraudsters from using the identities of dead people.
Demography and Methodology
The NISRA website provides information on official demographic analysis for Northern Ireland. Work undertaken falls under the National Statistics ‘Population and Migration’ theme and brings together population statistics, including estimates and projections, and vital statistics on births, deaths, marriages and divorce.
NINIS provides free access to statistical and locational information relating to small areas across Northern Ireland. Information is available across a range of themes including Population, Social and Welfare, Agriculture, Education and Crime. Users will be able to obtain an area profile based on a postcode or by selecting an area to view.
Information relating to The Northern Ireland Longitudinal Study, (NILS) which is a large-scale data linkage study which has been created by linking administrative and statistical data. The Study is designed for statistical and research uses only and is managed under Census legislation. Information is linked over time on people from Census, vital events and health registration datasets. Data sources include 2001 Census data, birth and death registrations and demographic data derived from health registrations.
