Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) came into operation on 1 January 2010 with the objective of improving co-operation and co-ordination between common corporate services such as HR, finance, IT and training. Information Strategy and Innovation Division (which promotes the efficient and secure use of information and communication technologies) and Properties Division (which provides property management services) joined ESS in June 2012.
