The Department of Finance and Personnel (DFP) has responsibility for a number of bodies, including executive agencies, a north south body, public bodies, arms length bodies and other bodies. There is often confusion about the status of bodies, particularly as public bodies or arm’s length bodies. This document aims to answer a number of key questions.
